Speaking engagements designed for
legal professionals.
I bring over 20 years of experience as a child psychologist, trauma-informed professional, and Guardian ad Litem, alongside my work as a family mediator and collaborative attorney, to every audience I speak to.
My talks draw on real conflict resolution work, academic research in conflict transformation, and my own path from clinical practice into law, to give audiences frameworks they can actually use, not just concepts to nod along to. Whether the room is full of legal professionals, caregivers, or corporate teams, I bring both the credibility of lived practice and the rigor of ongoing doctoral research in Conflict Analysis and Resolution.

Speaking Topics
The Nervous System in Conflict
What actually happens in our bodies when conflict shows up, and why so many disputes escalate before anyone consciously decides they should. Drawing on real examples from the mediation table and the courtroom, this talk gives audiences a working understanding of the nervous system's role in conflict, and why that understanding changes how we handle the hard conversations.
What It Means to Be a Neutral
A look inside the mindset and discipline of serving as a neutral, whether as a mediator, arbitrator, or Guardian ad Litem. Drawing on years of experience sitting in that role, this talk explores what true neutrality requires, and why it's harder, and more valuable, than it looks from the outside.
De-escalation in the Room
A practical look at how to keep a tense conversation from tipping over, built for HR professionals, managers, and anyone who regularly finds themselves in the middle of a conflict that isn't theirs. Using real examples, this talk covers what de-escalation actually looks like in the moment and how to build the instinct for it.
Inside Family Court
A grounded, human look at what actually happens in family court, for audiences who work near the system, encounter it professionally, or simply want to understand it better. This talk demystifies the process and speaks honestly about what families experience along the way.
Boundaries Without Walls
A talk for anyone whose work runs on empathy, exploring how to stay compassionate without burning out. This talk offers a practical, sustainable way to protect your own capacity to care.
Emotional Intelligence in the Legal Field
Legal training sharpens the intellect, but the practice of law runs on people, and people are emotional. This talk explores why emotional intelligence matters as much as legal skill for attorneys and legal professionals, and what it looks like to bring more of it into practice.
IQ. EQ. AI. Only One Will Save You
As artificial intelligence takes on more of what we once relied on raw intellect for, emotional intelligence is becoming the true differentiator. This talk makes the case for EQ as the skill that will carry professionals and organizations through the next era of conflict and change.
